Is Joseph Ebuya 2011 form nearing the form of 2002-2006 Kenenisa Bekele's?

It appear Joseph Ebuya is running himself into shape and appears sharper now than when he won the title last year.

Ebuya in his present form may have been serious competition for Kenenisa in 2008 when he was coming off an injury; however, in Kenenisa's top 2002-2006 (especially 2006) form I don't think anyone could touch Kenenisa in X- not Paul Tergat or John Ngugi.

Check out the finish photos from Campaccio and Amorebieta on the IAAF site - he looks insanely fit, skinny but extremely muscular.

I think he would get crushed in the last 600m like everyone else that has tried to race KB.

In 2008 Joseph Ebuya placed a respectable 4th at the World X-Country Championships and in 2010 he showed his improved form by running as he pleased to his first title. In 2011 Ebuya has dominated several world class fields which implies he is in his best form ever.

If Joseph Ebuya win this year X-Country Championships and does so in easy fashion as I anticipates then I could venture to say he maybe nearing Kenenisa 2002-2006 form.

So my answer is YES!

I just want to say that KB ran 13:26.6 in 2002, then 12:52.3 in 2003 before his 12:37.4 record in 04 so it's possible.

There are small percentage of athletes who bodies quickly answers to weight training and develop muscle definition quicker than most athletes doing the similiar regimen. It doesn't matter if its sprinters or distance men/women the genetics and body type of certain athletes are more apt to develop muscles even with light to moderate resistance training.

Are there dopes on the circuit, MOST definitely. Is Kenenisa Bekele a doper while its possible I highly doubt the Kenenisa is one of the dopers. There are some athletes that come along and have such enormous talent that its easier to label them cheaters than to accept and receive their incredible talent and performances.

I do hope that you are correct in that Joseph Ebuya returns to sub 13 minute form and possible improve on his pb 12:51.00 (2007). It would be nice if Ebuya could repeat and then meet Kenenisa at World X 2012 and see how Ebuya match up against the most celebrated harrier ever.

probably worth good few secs quicker now as best form of his life ( but decent form x-country last year & only 13'11 ??!! musta been injured/ill )

key is to run a fast 10k this year to gauge his comparative ability

he really needs to go 26'30 to show any sort of semblance of comparative ability to kennster at his peak

he is good enough to realistically aim at tergat's nr of 26'27
