I'm considering taking Propecia. I'm 22 little receding lining and little thinning of temples
Anyone know if it affects performance?
Anyone here take it and reduced performance in running or other side affects.
Thanks

ask webby, i'm pretty sure propecia took a second or two off his mile, and 800 times back in 2007
its finasteride so do a search on that. From what i have read you will probably experience a bit of a running performance boost.
Where did you read it gives you a running boost?
It would only really make sense that it would decrease performance. Propecia inhibits the enzyme that converts testosterone to dihdydrotestosterone--the more potent cousin of testosterone. So less potent testosterone would lead to decrease performance in my opinion.
But, propecia's effects are fairly specific to the scalp and prostate, as this is where that enzymes effects are most prevalent. So, it's likely to have no effect on your training.
