4:04 at some BYU meet. Converts to Sub 4 pretty impressive right after new years
Doesn't convert to anything. It's a 4:04 mile at altitude by a guy who lives and trains at altitude. Nice run, but don't go overboard.
4:04 at altitude is legit, especially this early. My guess is he'll be well below 4:00 by mid season.
The NCAA does credit him with a 3:59.27 so that definitely says something. Only 3/10 of a second faster and he would have automatically qualified for nationals. So I'd say a 4:04 at altitude, run alone, on the first week of the season still qualifies as impressive.
