I am a 1600 meter runner with a PR of 4:32. My coach has this workout that he calls "The Money Workout". We do it about three times during the second half of the season. We do 7x400 (5 min rest)--And our times are 1600 meter race pace -5 seconds. So is this really a "Money Workout", or is my coach just blowing smoke. I have no complaints about the way he trains me. I have improved during my two years running for my school. But my coach never tells us why he does stuff and the purpose of the workouts we do.
