Im a high school runner in base right now. Just got back from a run and the outer side of my right foot was hurting from the start of the run. Wasn't unbearable but was aching and annoying so I cut my run short. Been walking around the house and I still feel it so I'm a bit nervous. I can't touch the part where I feel it which makes me think it's the bone or something. When I put pressure on my right foot, like leaning my weight o it I feel the pain. What should I do and what could this be? I'm scared to hear stress fracture. Should I ice it? Is there anything I can do to make this go away or if it's already hurting am I too late? Should I take tomorrow off? It doesn't really HURT when walking, I just know it's there. It's sort of by the ankle on the outer part when I feel it hurting but I can't pinpoint it, it's hard to describe. Any ideas or advice please?
I'm considering not running tomorrow if I still feel it in my foot. Would doing the elliptical or doing the station bike be more beneficial? And how LNG should I do it for?
