i googled the results for yesterdays tiberias marathon in israel and the winner was stephen chemlany in 2:10.02, then the article said haile satayin one of the oldest runners in the race at age 55, was the first israeli to finish the race in 2:18.57
so i looked up the name haile satayin on wikipedia, and it list his birthdate as april 11th 1955, i was shocked as i believe the record for 50 year olds is 2:19 by i believe a south african and the great new zealand master runner jack foster who ran 2:11 at age 40, was 7th in the new york marathon at age 46, and foster ran what seened like an incredible 2:20 at age 50, and this guy is 5 years older than those amazing masters runners and he run 2:18.57 WOW
