As a fellow 27 year old, I can't say I appreciate it either. However, I think the OP got it about right - I started to feel "older" around 25. Not older physically, mind you, I'm definitely in the prime of my athletic life, but sort of like, if I went to go say hello to my old high school coach, I felt like the kids on the team were really that - a bunch of children, a completely different generation from me. Then somebody asked me what year I was in high school and burst my bubble!
