I've run 8:45 for 3k, debut 5k on the weekend - what can I expect?

21:56
good to see the first of numerous expected trolls are out of the way.
next.
15:10-20
15:45
When I cracked 15 for the first time (14:54), it was a week after an 8:42 3k. I split 12 seconds slower through the 3k than my 3k race and held on the last 2k for dear life.
15:00-15:30
I predict 15:19
The year I ran 8:47 indoor I also ran 15:20...so I'll say somewhere in the 15:10-15:20 range...
About 15:05-10 for most people. I ran 8:37 then 14:59 in outdoors, but I felt the 8:37 was a much better effort.
15:30
15:00 - 15:10.
Maybe faster if you have a good day, are more of a long distance guy, the 3k was a rust buster, etc., maybe slower if you have a bad day, are more of a middle distance guy, etc.

@15:10
15:10 - 15:25
sounds about right
15:30-15:40
This was long ago. I ran 8:32 indoors and a week later I went 14:40.
The thing was that I said what the fu....flip and just went out in the 5k willing to go big or explode. Risk failure to succeed. There will always be another race if you blow on this one.
I say you should shoot for 14:59.
15.40 if you are 17/18 years old.
15.10 if you are over 20 years old.
Cumulated mileage over years is quit important !
