Alright, I am currently on week 7 of my base and I was planning on starting doing workouts next week. My first race will be on Februrary 18-9, an indoor meet. Is now the ideal time to begin workouts like mile repeats, 800 repeats etc. just to get my body used to the higher speed now. Also I will most likely be a 3k/5k guy and I might also be running some 1500's and 10k's. What type of workouts and what type of distances would be the best? Thank you.
