I had a second metatarsal stress fracture diagnosed by x-ray 6 months ago – I took 6.5 weeks off running and cross trained for 4.5 of those weeks. I have built training up gradually and have felt no side effects. In the last two weeks the toe of the metatarsal I injured became a little sore (2/10) when running and hurts a little to curl down. Could this just be the last of the scar tissue breaking down / a tendon issue – or something more serious? I don’t know if i’m being overly paranoid. If anyone has any advice that would be great.
