It's all in the title. Don't know how it happened. Any advice? I'm a bit worried the hacker will be able to seriously mess up my stuff online, especially as I use the same password for most things. I've already run a scan but no viruses have been detected.
Same thing happened to me a couple years ago to my hotmail account. I just changed the password and haven't really seen any other ill effects, even though I, like you, use the same password for many other types of online accounts.
The same thing happened to me last year. Open up your email profile and look at the various settings (privacy, notifications, etc). When I did this, I found a strange email address so I deleted it. I haven't had any problems since then.
We used to hack into the email accounts of various guys we didn't like, or wait for them to not log out on a school computer, in order to send sexually suggestive email to the nastiest b*tches at school. They got in so much trouble, haha.
I have been getting phishing emails from someone saying they are from hotmail asking for my personal info and passwords in order to not have my email account closed down. I am sure they get some people to send in the info.
I sent fake info thinking it would be a pain for them, probably more of a waste of time for me though.
Hunt them down and scalp those mofos.
What you should do, my friend, is turn the other cheek. No man is bigger, or more whole, than the one that can rise above the failings of his peers.
