should of listened to Bob Prichard
I hope it's not anything serious and that he can recover soon.
Today's runners are such pussies. They are born with tons of talent yet race 3 or 4 times a year, if lucky. They're either head cases or made of glass. I'm referring to Ritz, Webb, Hall, Rupp, and Fernandez. Race, boys!!! Get out there and man up, like Rodgers, Nenow, Shorter, Steve Scott, Pfitz, Malmo, Spivey. He'll, Scott was a freaking miler who banged out top 10ks on the roads. How do these guys get sponsors while only racing 3 times a year??? Get out there, boys!

You're a moron. Truly stupid. Do you know how often Viren raced? Durability is not necessarily related to being a "pussy."

Do you realize how big a piece of shit Viren is? Also, if Ritz had double gold he could do whatever he goddamn wants to in terms of racing. He hasn't won shit, this injury stuff is getting old.

Viren was too busy doping to race much, you ridiculous retard.

What did Bob Prichard say to do?
This could possibly affect his buildup for a spring marathon. It's 2010 all over again with injuries before NYC. Hope he gets better
Go to this thread and read all about it!...."Ritz could easily break the two hour mark in the marathon" - malmo

Actually that thread is not what it's all about. I don't find anything funny about runners being injured.
At some point the Ritzenhein camp may have to admit that Ritzenhein's sweet spot is 3000-5000m, and trying to force him into the wrong events might not ever work. If that turns out to be the case, then Ritzenhein could rest on his laurels as the most overpaid marathoner in the history of the sport. If you can rob the bank of a truckload of cash, legally, then more power to you.
none of us do. no need to censor posts that state the reality of what the rest of his year is likely to look like.
Seven miles of intervals on an indoor track!? That's just plain boneheaded. I doubt that Alberto told him to do that.
I've been saying this for a while. Many of these young guys just don't race enough. I don't know what the reason is but it's sad, in my opinion. Racing is so much fun, they're missing out!

Viren raced more than almost anyone. "Races" don't have to be "big races".
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=3094666shows that he raced 44 times in a year. And I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "Do you realize how big a piece of shit Viren is?" Viren beat guys with PR's stronger than Ritz's. Not to mention 4 Olympic golds.

Rit's PRs (8:11, 12:56, 27:22) would have been WRs when Viren won his four gold medals.
People on this site are idiots. Viren raced a lot between the Olympics, and was man enough to take a beating and come back even stronger.
f***ing Ritz pulled out of a JV race, big deal. He'll be fine
Stop trying to justify things you idiot!!
“Some of the new aspects we started with Alberto’s program was form-change stuff,” Ritzenhein said. “I had a little bit of a rocky start with that trying to change things, and it brought on a few injuries. In the long term, I think it’s going to be much better for me.”
You aren't getting any younger. Kid you ran 12:56 why the hell do you need to worry about your stride. Quit drinking the Al Sal kool-aid and get back under somebody who knows what the hell they are doing. Could you imagine somebody telling Lebron he doesn't have the smoothest rhythm in his shot!!

Thanks. I'd seen the video, but didn't remember the guy's name. Nice reference.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
