Holy hell...10th guy. How the heck do these guys train?

I think you may be recalling the Washington State team that had Sam Kimobwa and Henry Rono, both 10 K WR holders (and 3, 5 and Steeple for Rono.) But UTEP was fine, too!

No, 16 or 17 at NCAA XC cross, crushing the rest of collegiate runners. Not certain on the WRs but they had a set of studs.

Thanks for the data Malmo, although one of the Olympic medals, the WC finish and the majority of the school records you cite come from well after the season in question. Do all the PBs you cite from the Africans who seemed to make up the brunt of the team date from the 1981 season or were they also from well afterwards?

Why does it matter when they set those marks?
