Anyone read the Wall Street Journal?

consensus is that everything but the editorials has a little bit of a left lean, although this too is a little subjective because you have people on the religious right who cry foul anytime something great happens and the media DOESNT attribute it to an act of god and libertarians who complete reject any mainstream notions of economics and politics. so the media always gets a leftward lean when its not arch-conservative. anyway, i digress, the wsj is good and pretty interchangeable with the nyt (i read both daily).

Well. I don't really care so much about left vs right. I'm talking about more hard news content vs less news content. I suppose every media outlet has a certain bias. But if you know where they are coming from it doesn't really matter.

I read the NY Times and yes it has a "leftist bias". Although I characterize it as Northeast elitist bias. But I can trust the NY Times to be the NY Times and at the end of the day it has real quality news compared to anyone else.

Republican propaganda sheet. The Murdoch name tells you everything you need to know, but it was still that way before he took over. If you want more honest business news try Bloomberg and Businessweek (also Bloomberg).

It's a good paper. It has a ton of business and financial news. The only thing that I have noticed that has gone down since Murdoch bought it is the editorial page.

The WSJ is censored by the Nazis in the Obama Regime to tow the Nazi-Zion line. Basically it's the old USSR Izvestia of Wall St. It reads like most US newspapers using terms like 'terrorists' for 'fighters', 'war on terrorism' for 'imperial invasion', 'Israel' for 'Occupied Palestine', etc. which you would otherwise read in non-US newspapers.

Forget the front page and the editorial page. Both have always been trash-- even pre-Murdoch.

The rest used to be above average for reporting-- even non-news reporting. For example, after 9/11 the WSJ was one of the few papers that openly reported on the links between Bin Laden and our Saudi "allies." When money is on the line, ideology is less important than information and the WSJ used to focus on actual info.

I have to admit to not reading it in a while. Nowadays, there is so much better (non-ideological) info on the web...

Ryan-I have read it for too many years. Yes, it has changed since RM took over but yes, it is a "one stop place for good business news." And other tidbits such as the personal section where I have used many of the suggestions over the years. Also, the Friday and Saturday weekend sections are fun for all types of ideas too. FWIW, the international news has expanded.

Of course reporters left when he took over. That happens in any takeover. Big deal.

If you are more interested in fast action news you can always log into Bloomberg.

Out of the major newspapers in the US, (NY Times, Washington Post, US Today, etc), the WSJ is probably the msot balanced and has solid content. Since RM took over the financial content is less rigorous, but it is still probably your best option.

Financial Times is probably your best bet if you are looking for something with excellent economic and financial analysis.
