Thanks for everyone's words on the sub 6 beer mile.
Another - Yea Bud-Heavy is just Regular bud. No lite beers in the official rules of Beer Mile. Must be greater than %5 alcohol.
Also, you have plenty of time before Boston to lose that 10lbs. Don't force it, with more volume/training and eating a little healthier it will fall off.
SilkySlim - I am really interested to see what you can do in this half. I feel like we have similar fitness right now. I've seen you have been doing hill work as well. Keep it up.
rhrunner - Thanks man, I'm really pleased with it. I hear you about the routine of work. Doubling feels great when it's 6am and 6pm.
cadillac - Holy Sh*t! I would have lost a lot of money on that bet. 7,000 is insane mileage. Congrats, I hope it pays off for you.
4TM - Even tho you probably don't feel like it, your training has steadily increased since your time off. I bet this month will be a good month for you.
Vancy Pants - Nice tempo on Wednesday. Why'd you do it on the track? I feel you on Saturday's run. I went to bed at 6am, woke up at 9:30am and went on an 8miler [still drunk]. Not sure how that happened, but it did.
Lawyer Dude - 79.5 in 6 isn't too shabby. Do you have a goal race?
Jrunner2k - Most days I work 8am-6pm. This means im running at 6am and 6pm on double days. Sitting all day.
marmite - 3,100 miles with 10weeks off. Very Impressive.
I'd say my middle 2 laps were a bit slower than 10sec beer + 80 second laps. But my first beer was probably 5-6 secs with a sub 70 lap. And my last beer was probably the slowest, but with a very fast last lap. I was trying to catch my room mate and probably threw down close to a 65. I thought I had him but tied up big time on the home stretch. It felt like finishing the 800m.
