P.r. Before breakthrough race was 2:02. While peaking sophomore year indoors for the mile, i ran 1:59 split and a week later 1:57 split. Sophomore year outdoors i ran 1:56.96 open. Got a stress fracture the following summer and because of lack of base, i stuck to the 800 my junior year. Indoors i ran 1:56.64 open. Obviously my indoor time is better overall. Peaking junior year outdoors i hit a workout of 2x400m with exactly 30s rest in 55 and 59. I was training to run 1:54. Season was cut short. Was i in shape to run sub 1:56 that outdoor season?
