Ah, the mighty Big 10! Have they won a f***ing bowl game yet? Pathetic.
There's no NC in DI-A CFB. Only a Beauty Contest System winner. It's not sports.
Because Auburn and Oregon are still better.

SEC/PAC10/etc teams just want to protect their pride. they would never let a team like tcu boise st or utah have a chance to beat an auburn, ut, oregon, oklahoma
they're just afraid
tcu proved today that they are already bigger than the "big 10"
who do they have? notre dame? their basketball team is now officially way better than their once mighty football team
going to a d1-aa school i was naturally rooting for tcu today
Down with the BCS, back with the old system. Let's argue who's #1 TCU or Auburn/Oregon. Or, maybe a team with 1 loss who's hot or maybe even Alabama- they looked good today.
I loved the system. More games meant something when it came to picking the National Champ. It's college and it was fun.

Of course they have. Illinois demolished the mighty Baylor Bearcubs.
Major League Baseball is a two city monopoly with no salary cap plus the league condones HGH and steroid use. NCAA DI-A CFB sells all rights to TV after conference play wraps up, and the bowls are a seeded by Hollywood TV programmers to sell beer and k-gel. MLB and DI-A CFB are a crock of doo doo.

good analysis Bear Bryant, but ND isn't in the big 10
TCU is a great team and as a life-long die-hard University Of Nevada Wolf Pack fan, their incredible victory in the Rose Bowl was a victory for all Non-AQ schools and their fans in the USA. Congratulations to TCU, their students, their athletes and their fans!!!
TCU deserves to play for the Championship, as does UNR (Nevada), Boise State and every Division 1 conference champion.
The BCS system is really stupid, since it's the only NCAA championship that is not decided on the field of play in a tournament format. Even Lacrosse, Rifle, Field Hockey and Swimming are all decided on the field of play.
Championships are meant to be decided on the field, on the track, on the course, etc.; not by a computer, a committee or on the internet message boards.
As for Gordon Gee and his Buckeyes, I hope they get their ass kicked, especially because of that "Little Sisters of the Poor" comment. The Big-10 sure didn't have a great New Years Day!
Big 10 definitely had a rough day. Were they favored in any of those games? Hopefully the Buckeyes will win.
TCU will become a perennial powerhouse in 2012... when they join the BIG EAST.
Truly sad that the NCAA promotes this kind of bullsh!t system. Money talks, not doing what is best for the players/coaches/student body. Way to go TCU! Now Oregon and OSU need to lose for all the big money programs to take a bite out of the sh!t sandwich that is college football!
There is no good reason. College football should have a tournament so we don't end up with situations like this.
But as the system is now, any time you have three undefeated teams like Auburn, Oregon, and TCU, there is always going to be a deserving team that doesn't play in the national championship game.
there's not any natl champs kinda series in cfb. they never had one. been that way since the beginning. polls don't make a champ and the bcs isn't one either.

Iowa also beat Missouri
While there is more than enough arrogance in the NCAA and BCS system to go around, Gee does still have a fundamentally sound point: overall non-AQ conferences are lesser opponents who play each other at a lesser level, and characteristically haven't ponied up the investment to be able to continually play at the higher level.
TCU held on and was able to beat Wisconsin. TCU showed this year they could beat the Big 10 champion, and good for them! But c'mon, several other schools apparently are capable of beating the Big 10 champion as well. Shouldn't all those other schools also have a shot at the national title too?
Maybe you want to say that those other schools weren't undefeated like TCU? Let TCU first go play week after week in the same conferences as those other schools and come out undefeated before that argument holds any water. And that's the heart of Gee's point: what has TCU done that makes them any more worthy than several SEC schools, Stanford, Oklahoma and few others at taking the shot at Oregon/Auburn?
Because the BCS has a strong dose of "beauty system" embedded in it, all we can say is that TCU is apparently a very good team but we'll never know what there final season won-loss record was if they had to play this year in the PAC10 or SEC.
there's no NC game this year. it's a Beauty Transvestite Crown Aub & Ore are playing.

i agree. there is no way a school like oklahoma would risk losing to boise state, or alabama to utah. thats why the BCS sucks, becasue that will never happen
PS notre dame is big east ( except football )
