It seems fairly obvious that the more accomplished the runner, the more likely he/she is to be out running (or working at some other goal), and thus not posting on letsrun.
I doubt that there is any credible information on the accomplishments of LRC posters. If it is true that the less accomplished a runner is the greater the percentage of posters they account for, it is probably because there is a greater percentage of less accomplished runners in the population in general.
