I'm a HS female runner and I did an interval workout today in preparation for the indoor track season. It was not a very high volume workout, just 3x1000 with 600 jog rest followed by some faster 300s.
For the 1000s, my splits were: 3:46, 3:59, 4:06
The first one did not feel that hard until I was about 600 in... then the 2nd/3rd were harder but didn't feel like I was going THAT much slower.
Anyway, did I still get some benefit even though I went out way too fast? Next time I plan to run even splits (will also probably be 5x1000).
Is it possible to predict a 1600/3200 time off of this workout?
