I'm trying to remember some details of a workout/training run I read about but can't recall where. I believe it was Frank Shorter, but could be wrong on that. The story is that there was a snowstorm and running the roads would be too difficult, so the runner (or runners?) in question went to a small grass field (college campus perhaps?) and ran endless loops to get their miles in.
If this strikes anyone as familiar (or if you can actually give me the source) that would be great...
