So I was bored at work today and started to make a list of my favorite albums from 2010. I was wondering what are everyone's favorite albums from this year? So list your top 10, top 5, top 3, top 1, whatever. I'm sure a lot of us have different musical tastes so I'm curious as to what everyone enjoyed the most.

Note: My current musical tastes tend to lean more towards the indie/hipster/pitchfork genres. However, I'm not one of those people that claim that indie music is the absolute best and everything else sucks and that mainstream is terrible, etc. I listen to a wide variety of music and these just happen to be my personal favorite albums of this year even though I enjoy a lot of other new music outside the genre. So let's hear em!

I would disagree with that. It's just that you have different preferences in music. I know lots of people that agree with a good amount of my list and I know a lot of people who don't really like that type of music, and therefore think it all sounds terrible.

I like a lot of other types of music too. I try not to be a music snob, but these are my favorites. So instead of just insulting other people's favorites, why don't you provide some of your own?

I know, I am trying to get a list together.

I think we would agree on a lot of music, that is why I find your list annoying. I bet we go to similar shows, etc.

I just think these are mediocre albums. Age of Adz really pisses me off. I know he has better music in him, that is why it offends me.

The Books, MGMT, and Vampire Weekend are the 2010 albums that get the most play in my house.

Girl Talk's "All Day" (a free download) is incredible.

Wolf Parade - Expo '86

Arcade Fire - Suburbs

Phosphorescence - Here's to Taking it Easy

Mogwai - Special Moves

Black Keys - Brothers

Band of Horses - Infinite Arms

I just felt like the hipster crap was pretty awful this year. Last year there were some good albums, but most of it was pretty terrible in 2010.
