Ian Stewart and Stephanie Hightower just to be clear for those who will miss the event.
Is that the same Ian Stewart who passed Prefontaine in the last 50m of the 1972 Oly 5000m?
yes. last time i knew he was working as an athlete agent.
This is a joke right?
they have been an item for sometime and he talked about them in a recent magazine interview in england. his day job is as head of endurance for the british federation. think they have been swapping tips...
Big question
Is the head of endurance for the british federation moving to the USA or is the head of USATF moving to the UK?
Either way can't see how the mover can keep thier job

Ian Stewart & Stephanie Hightower Married
(from Alfonz Juck's EME News)
Columbus (USA). On Tuesday former successful British long distance runner and current meet director and UK Athletics Head Coach for long distances Ian Stewart (61) married with former great US hurdler and current USATF Board of Directors President and Chair Stephanie Hightower (52). She will remain Ms. Hightower. She was ranked number one in the USA in 2980-82 at 100m Hurdles. Stewart won the World CC title in 1975, was third at the Munich Olympic Games in 1972 and won European golds outdoors in 1969 and indoors in 1975.
I thought Stephanie McMahon was married to Triple H? Did they get divorced?
Maybe he can teach her how to run a business

Hopefully he'll be full-time in the states. British distance running needs some good news.
I thought so too 'til I looked at the invite link.

... and Ian Edwards.
My impression is that she is not well-regarded by her peers in America in her current role. What is the perception in distance-running circles of Stewart?
How can a representative of USATF marry the guy who beat Pre? A more blatant act of perfidy has never before tarnished our great sport.

Haha, when I saw this thread title, my first thought was "who is Ian?"

No, no, no!
Ian Dobson is married to Julia Lucas not Stephanie McMahon and Triple H can't hurdle with those bad knees, no way he will be ranked #1 in 2080-2082.
