I dont have the stats to back this up, but it seems black coaches are held to a higher standard. White coaches are recycled all the time. They can have mediorce records, but they can get a second chance. Am I wrong?

Tony Dungy
off the top of my head, Dennis Green and Art Shell.

Didnt Denny Green coach the Vikings and Cardinals?
Art Shell was the coach of the Raiders twice - the first time the results were pretty good . . . . the second time not so much because the team was pretty dysfunctional.
Tyrone Willingham was the coach of three different NCAA teams.
I would agree that there is a fair bit of "recycling." Bruce Coslet and Dom Capers come to mind as coaches who have failed in the NFL multiple times.
Ray Rhodes. Fired from the Eagles, rehired at the Packers and fired one season later. He just sucked.
Dennis Green is another obvious one.

I know Art coached in Oakland, where else did he coach?
He was hired and fired as head coach by Al Davis twice. So maybe that doesn't count.
Norv Turner is the greatest coach in the history of the nfl.
Herm Edwards. He played to win the game...he just never did.

What 2 teams did he coach? The Jets and ?
KC
The premise of this thread has been officially debunked.
NFL is not sports. NFL is a drug experiment.
White AND black coaches, good and bad, are recycled, nice try.

In a similar vein, has there been a white nba player in the past 30 years who has not landed a coaching or general manager job in the nba or ended up in the broadcast booth?
Travis Knight? I am guessing those guys that nevver play don't become coaches
