+1. This thread title gave me a visual that made me laugh
I haven't vomited on one, but I KILLED one at a hotel gym in Kunming China in the winter of 2003.
It snowed heavily in Kunming one day, so instead of risking falling on the icy streets I went to a hotel gym. They had an OLD Lifefitness jobber, so I cranked it to about 5:40 pace and went about 2 hours....
at about 2:15, smoke started appearing from the motor console in front of the belt, then there were a couple of "bang! bang!" sounds, and the treadmill ground to a halt.
IT.
WAS.
DEAD.
I called the Chinese gym attendants over to see what was the problem, and then called an engineer. Smoke was still coming out of the machine. I unplugged it with my foot, since I was worrying about someone getting electrocuted.
The technician quickly looked at it, then looked at me and said:
YOU!!!!!
GO!!!!!!!
So I got the hell outta there, never to return.
that is so awesome, not many people can say they ran a treadmill to catostrophic failure, well done sir!
