Pain in the middle of my arch, on the inside of the foot. Seems to be plantar fasciitis. Had it for a couple of weeks now. Initially took 4 or 5 days off, only to come back to it still bothering me. Just kept running and made sure to stretch/ice it. Recently, I took Christmas day off, then the next day I hardly felt it at all while running. However, yesterday it was painful again. I bought some Dr. Scholl's arch-pain orthodics. They feel good when I'm walking around. Ran in them yesterday afternoon and this morning, foot still hurting.
When should you take time off? I don't want to take a week off only for it to still hurt when I start running again. I've heard that most people just train through it and take care of it with supplementary stuff until it goes away.
I read through the other threads on plantar fasciitis, but most people seemed to mention pain in the heel. As I said, mine is more in the middle of the arch. Still seems to be related to the plantar fascia, though. Any advice would be appreciated.
