Has anyone read Running Anatomy by Joseph Puleo?
Has anyone read Running Anatomy by Joseph Puleo?
Yes I have. Joe puleo is the rutgers Camden coach who is well known for training marathoners as well as middle distance runners. He gave a copy of his book to my coach who let me read it. It is a very well detailed and explained book. It is indeed an anatomy book, nothing of the fictional once A runner type. It is an interesting read for those who focus on running economy, stride efficiency, and equal muscle development. In it are multiple exercises for legs, upper body, and core. Also, injury prevention techniques are mentioned. Most of the exercises a competitive Athlete will be familiar with. I took what I felt important and added it to my existing routine. Very well written scientific book about the fundamentals of running. Hope this helps!
Thanks! I'll order it.
