Chris Barnicle runs 7:55.7 hand timed 2800 meters. The drunken elves at the finish line miscounted laps and completely forgot how to use timing equipment. Biggest S-Show I've ever seen. Keep up the good D-sucking BU.

Oh and to make this official Craig MacPherson
Barnicle ran the correct number of laps. I'm not sure what happened to the timing equipment today, but we did our best with what we had. While we weren't perfect, most folks seemed to enjoy themselves.
I hope you had a merry Christmas and the lack of FAT didn't dampen your holiday too much.
craig, why weren't you home in nh?
Barnicle ran the right distance. I am sure. I watched. He looked great doing it.
The meet was not fully electronically timed and sparsely officiated so, for example, runners found their own start numbers and many field had a lot of lapping.
Some times were off in ways that made me think runners were missed (maybe no start numbers or the wrong ones?) and the times moved up.
For the numbers of people and the "development" intention of the meet, it was a good and useful event.
Thanks to BU for letting us come out of the frightful weather and play indoors.
Tom
OP: 1/10. One point for being a Grinch. You would have gotten an addition point if you baited him and other BU 'D-suckers'. But you failed miserably. Probably at life too.

You are one big f'tard. obviously he ran the right distance. The times wouldn't match up for him and Jenkins if he didn't. Please don't post on a running board ever again. F'tard.
no I think i'll still post
do u still think youre funny?

Barnicle looked great. Seemed like a very comfortable run for him. Don't know how you can think bu could mess up the timing. Just keep on being miserable with yourself and posting on here if you want.
I apologize to the meet people as I registered in advance but couldn't make it so I was a no show due to blizzard hitting in NYC area earlier in day.
Seems like a great meet. Glad some people had fun
Op I thought by s-show you were referring to snow/travel conditions
Timing was a shit show for sure, in the last section they seemed to have added a minute to one girl's time and taken a minute off another's- based on what I saw in the race- bit of lottery for times. Chris ran the correct number of laps, made me look like a bitch for sure. He seemed relaxed-from what I could see- the 29 first lap gaped me. He had pacers to the mile and the kid taking him through said he was still talking to him as they went through in 4:14. Chris is quite fit for this time of year and it was a real nice run.
Given the price of $10 per person, $5 for additional events, the timing issue is disappointing. No t-shirt, no water or food- as this is track, as it isn't a full meet not really any officials. So really you are only paying for timing and the facility. The facility is awesome, so you got half what you paid for.

I don't know about the rest of you but I am extremely grateful for these meets. Yes there were some delays yesterday with the heat sheets but they are usually very efficiently run.
I think people tend to forget how spoiled we are to have this opportunity to compete in such a fantastic facility. You get a lot for your $10, especially considering how much time and effort go into organizing these competitions. I want to publicly thank Michael Delgado, Bruce Lehane and all the others involved with putting these meets on. Your efforts are appreciated by most, despite what you might read from a few ingrates.
Puhleez...Were the lights on? Heat? Did they let you use the johns? Did you clean up after yourselves and take the trash out? Stuff isn't free. Quit griping.
Average_Joe is spot on. Come on posters, have some class. We are so lucky to have these meets in an absolutely amazing facility. Geez, one look at your own watch or the clock would give you your time.
I personally, was really grateful for the chance to get a workout in on such a crappy day - so thanks to Michael and Bruce!
I have to agree that this is a great to have access to such a great facility. But you should at least get correct time for your money. The results for the third heat were all way off. As Nate said it was basically a lottery for times, and some of those in the third heat didn't even run 15 laps. The rest of the meet was great, but the third heat of the 3k was an embarrassment.
Even in a delirious end of race state of mind I can figure out if I've run enough laps. Look at the clock or a watch.

Second that. We had a dry, warm place to run the day after Christmas while a storm was hitting. I doubt anybody in the third heat of the 3k was too broken up if there time was off.
You would most likely pay ten bucks to use a treadmill at a gym anyways. How about a thanks to Steve V, Bruce Lehane and the other BU guys who didn't have to be in there giving up there Boxing Day (which is a big holiday on Allston).
