Running my first beer mile today. All weather track, 50's for temperature, so it won't be bad conditions. Any suggestions or funny stories for a first timer?

Run negative splits. Smash the first two laps, sub 70 for the first 400.
Having the beer inside ya is what slows you down so make the most of the first 800.
During the last 50m of each lap try to release some of that trapped air. I find beating my chest helps with this.
If you feel like you cant drink just force it down, it WILL go down. Whether or not it stays down is another question.
We have a fairly competitive beer mile out my way every year. I ran 6.04 this year. 2.45 @ 800 (2 beers 2 laps)
Going for sub 6 next year.
I threw up my first beer mile, and dropped out of my second because I didn't want to throw up. You will feel like you are going to throw up.
learn to burp on demand.
slow up the last 100 before you drink each beer. It is tough to be completely out of breath and drink at the same time.
