So I'm shifting to lighter shoes when I train, and as expected, I am experiencing a ton of calf soreness, not so much tightness. My question is, in addition to this stimulus of simply running, should I throw in some calf exercises either actually doing calf raise machines (seated and standing) or do body weight strengthening calf raises and hope the soreness eventually goes away?
As I said, totally expected this, didn't think it was gonna be as bad as it's been the past few days though.
