I seem really injury prone and always have some nagging injury. The last time I was injury free was last winter >.<
I was diagnosed with patellar tendonitis in mid september, and ever since then my knees have been my main problem. Every workout I do revolves around how my knees are doing that day, I have to run super slow (8-8:30 pace even though I'm a 16 flat 5ker and went 9:40 for the 3200 last year) for 2-3 days between hard efforts.
Ive tried takign 2 weeks off from running, Ive tried ramping up the mileage 3 weeks then cutting back 1 week, I just don't know how to get the discomfort to stop. My last hard effort was saturday when I did 12 hilly miles @ 6:14 pace. I can feel my knees sorta not going into the sockets perfectly when I walk atm.
I also stretch tons, ice after I run, all that stuff.
Its the only thing that is stopping me from actually improving (pr'ed on the 1st race of the season, didn't even break it on a course thats supposed to be 15 sec faster even with an extra month of training)
How can I get this to stop?
Any help is appreciated.
