Does anyone have any inside information as to what the standards for USA's are? Thought at least indoors would have been out by now.

They were set at the Annual Meeting. I don't know why they haven't been published yet, maybe the committee chairs haven't sent them to the USATF webmaster.
What are you looking for? I think I have the women's standards in my notes from Virginia.

USATF is very disorganized. People like polevaultpower don't help the situation either with the "I have info and you don't"... why wasn't the USATF Webmaster at the Convention? Makes no sense, as that is the first line of communication between the organization and its members.

Uh sorry... we have family visiting from out of town and I can't spend every minute at the computer.
Unfortunately, I also can't find the paper at the moment. Most of the standards are the same as last year. There weren't any big changes in how qualifying to USAs works for the women. The goal is to have fields of about 8 for indoors.
I am having trouble getting the links to work properly... if you really want to find out the standards, contact the chair of men's or women's development for the complete list, or you can contact your event chair for more specific info.
Go here:
http://www.usatf.org/about/directory/index_org.aspand then click on "Men's Development Committee" or "Women's Development Committee"
I am sure the USATF webmaster was at Convention, but they can't post stuff until the committee chair sends it to them and tells them, this is finalized and ready to post. For the women's standards there were one or two typos and mistakes, so even what I have is not 100% accurate.
USATF should have put up the standards already. They need to start acting a whole lot more professional and stop being so pathetic.
Well, polevalutpower, than I guess you are misinformed and didn't pay attention in the meetings if it is not 100% accurate and you attended. Thanks for trying.
Are there any standards for USA indoors yet?? this is ridiculous.. the meet is in 2 months.

polevaultpower, lesson learned...don't try to help these letsrun.com D-Bags. they turn on you quickly.

I can't help it that there were typos in the handout that was given out. Since I don't particularly care what the standards are in non-PV events, I wasn't inclined to take copious notes. Also, they didn't seem to resolve everything before passing them... there was one event where maybe the A standard and B standard were switched or something. It was unclear if they were switched or if one was just plain wrong, but they sort of rushed through passing them without saying clearly what the correct standards were. It was indicated that it would be fixed before they got posted.
I also had to leave the Women's Development meeting early because I had another meeting to go to. I think they were all done talking about standards when I left. I bet it's Men's Development that is holding things up. They're not going to post the standards until they have them from both sides.
Anyone who is serious about competing at the elite level has to learn how to be proactive and find out what is going on yourself. I already gave the information about how to do that. Most of the athletes who will compete at USAs Indoors, especially those that will be competitive, are already plugged in with their event chair and know what is going on.
I know it's fun for a lot of you to bitch about USATF not being on the ball, but qualifying for USATF indoors is not rocket science. Between looking at past standards and results and contacting the appropriate people, you should be able to figure it out.
