While the FM boys team is definitely not as good as the women, I would say they are still "national caliber"...
Their mens team are hardly mediocre. FM had one of the best mens team in the country just a few years ago.
The FM mens team was better than the girls team at first. Also werent the men second this year? The saratoga men's team won NXN, national champions are mediocre. Also, it is harder t consistently have great mens teams because 8th graders and freshman are rarely factors and sophomores are only a little more frequently.A girls team can have 8th-9th graders be the stars and then they are on the team for 4-5 more years providing a solid long term base. Guys take longer to develop.
