Donahue vs. Davila Over 4 miles?

It is an interesting match up though Donahue's 1500m is limited more by her speed than her stamina and Davila's marathon is limited more by her stamina than her speed.

Maybe this means Davila is planning on another season on the track.

She's doing Boston, so I wouldn't expect another big track season.

Davila's track timeds have been coming down, but I might still give the edge to Donohue here ... she's starting a busy indoor track racing season almost immediately after this, so I figure she's pretty sharp. And familiarity with the conditions probably counts for something.

Of course, one of the Ethiopians living in the Bronx could win it.

Lehmkuhle and Kristen Nicolini are also running in it, so another female marathoner.

Nicolini's 5k PR is 15:51. My money is still on Donohue.

So has anyone run this? I saw the video from last year or the year before and running under the fireworks looks cool.
