The First Day of Kwanzaa (December 26)

Kwanzaa is celebrated by nobody. (One survey indicates that only 1 to 5 percent of blacks observe it.) It was invented in the sixties by the leader of a Marxist-tinged rival to the Black Panthers. He later spent time in jail for torturing two of his group's female members. This being America, he became a college professor.

So what else is new ? Nike shoes are made in China for $1.99 and sold to you fools for $199.00. Christmas was stolen by the Caucasoid-Mongoloid Aborigines of Europe from the Black Egyptian Solstice Festival. Symmonds and Solinski are on special sauce.

Kwanzaa is a made up holiday. Some dude traveled to Africa, saw a village having a celebration, came back to the US, and started a new holiday.

The Black Egyptian Solstice Festival is a made up holiday too. Christmas was is doubly a fake as BOTH a stolen AND a made up holiday.

When were Egyptians black?

The Egyptians have always been black as they are today. The Egyptians migrated from Kenya, the birthplace of mankind.

i love how the name comes from an east african phrase but almost all black americans are from west african descent. yeah yeah we all came from kenya. kiss my ass.

Can someone please point out to me a holiday that is not "made up"? I never understood why someone would be concerned what holiday another person celebrates. Its none of your fvcking business. I dont celebrate Kwanza but I dont celebrate St Patricks Day either.

On the first day of Kwanzaa the black candle is lit in the Kinara. The black candle represents the first principle - Umoja (oo-MOH-jah): Unity. The person who lights the candle might make a statement about the first principle and its meaning. Sometimes a passage or poem is read relating to what the principle means and how it relates to their life.

Then the Umoja (Unity Cup) might be filled with fruit juice and shared among those gathered. Each takes a drink and passes to the next.

Some families prefer to use a Unity cup for each member, or the cup can just be left in the center of the Kwanzaa table.

After the sharing of the Unity cup the candles are extinguished till the next day.
