I had family in the So Az region who are now deceased.
The area was quite safe back in the early 80's, and had fantastic vistas in which to run.
However, is it safe for runners in the So AZ area now given all the bullets flying at the border?
Additionally the comments by Rep Ellison "make the border irrelevant" makes me wonder what reality I'm living in.
How do you run on a vista?
Bullets don't fly that far, just be a few miles from the border and you'll be fine.
...and a bullet should fall at near terminal velocity and not the muzzle velocity. As such, could a falling bullet even kill you? I expect it depends on the angle at which it was fired...

El Paso is one of the safest cities in the US despite being just across the boarder from one of the most violent Mexican cities (Juarez). Same thing is true in Arizona. The claims about boarder spill over is bull. White people in AZ just don't like the influx of Mexicans and want an excuse to keep AZ as white as McCain's hair.

Now that the Governor is taking people off transplant lists so they have no option but to die, I would say it's not a very safe place to live.

If you notice the picture dum dum, it's a Colorado license plate.
Anyway, I live in Southern Arizona. I have more trouble getting stopped by border patrol than I do dealing with immigrants.
