So what is your take on the minutes vs distance debate.
That is: do you do your runs based on a certain distance or for a certain time.
Is it xx minutes easy or x miles easy
Is it a tempo run of x miles or a tempo run of xx minutes
Do you do 6 repeats of 3 minutes or a xxxx meters.
Long run of xxx minutes or xx miles?
Do you use a mixture: i.e. were hard days are distance based and easy days are minute based?
If you use minutes, do you track and record the distance in your log? (via Garmin perhaps)
If you use minute based do you check any splits or is it strictly effort based for the given time.
Any run for distance but don't time it, or the opposite, run for time but don't know/record the distance?
Pros/Cons for each (minute and distance)?
Thoughts?
