Which would you rather have?
Which would you rather have?
are you serious? the answer is obvious. WC gold.
why would anybody want a silver medal? the pain .... the agony .... the torment .... knowing you were SOOOOO CLOSE
Was Kenny B in the race? If yes, I'd take Silver any day. If not, only Gold would do.
I'd rather have a silver at the Olympics.
No one cares about the WC.
All I care about is the fame and glory.
Well I'll use the marathon in my case. I don't know actually, would I get more $$$$(from appearance money) by getting a silver medal from the Olympics or Gold from World Championships? Although an Olympic Medal is so prestigious that I would probably want to get the medal with almost no money gained from it. Although if I got a World Championship medal I would probably look more at finacial benefits of it I really don't know actually.
A while back I saw an article where these guys questioned Olympic medalists. They concluded that the happiest was the bronze medalist, who knew he was one place from no medal. The silver medalist was the most unhappy because he just missed the gold. The gold medalist felt relief that it was over.
I would chose Olympic silver, anyway. It's the Olympics. I would just have to get over the disappointment of missing the gold.
Great question. I think I would take Olympics, but i'm not sure.
Someone needs to ask Steve Cram which one he values more.

They know that most American do not know the difference between the OT and the actual Olympics.
However, everyone knows who the gold medalist was.
They become famous thanks to cereal and beverage endorsements, commercials and appearances.
I mean, can you imagine anyone knowing who Billy Mills is if he got out-leaned at the wire?

The answer is obvious
WC gold for every single event except for the marathon, in which case silver at the Olympics is better
