I'm going to graduate this spring with a BA in finance, what type of job opportunities are out there? What are some good entry level positions for someone who prefers the investing side of finance? Any advice is appreciated.

Get an anyst job at a good firm. If you can get in with any investment comany (buy side or sell side) that's ideal. Even if it more operations oriented (you won't be making decisions with a nre BA) just find a good firm.
Well unless you go to an Ivy/UChicago/Stanford/MIT equivalent (in which case you would have a BA in Economics) then investment banking is out of the picture.

thats bullsh1t.
if you want one of those jobs, get your ass in there and sell yourself.
If you want them to send you a contract because you are such a great guy, then yes you need to have engaged in the elaborate branding exercise involved in a brand name MBA.
I read this thread title 3 time and thought there was a job opening in France for someone with a BA. I thought it was an odd place to post a job opening.
Credit analyst at a bank seems to be a good one. That's what I did for my first job with my BA in finance.

Uh, NO it's not. WallStreet firms and the legitimate investment banks and consulting firms will recruit from elite institutions not state schools.
yeah, as someone who works in operations at a major investment bank, unless you get in w/ a degree from a top tier school, or somehow you got an awesome internship the summer before, say hello to middle/back office, doesn't mean you wont be exposed to a lot, and you can still have a very good career, you just wont me at a sales desk or working first hand on deals
i went to an ACC school, majored in finance as well..

then how the f@#k did I get hired?
You may not be able to get into the investment side without a degree from a big name school, that's true. So go for a job in the middle office, operations and settlements, or reporting. But get into the big first and get that experience! I a B.S. from a state school and ended up with Ivy Leaguers reporting to me, but I had to get the EXPERIENCE. Just get into that good firm!
