If he is able run faster than the other hundred and fifty or so other American men at the trials, then yes, we do want him representing us.
If the above happens without him somehow getting down close to his PR I'll be ticked at the other hundred and 50 or so runners who couldn't beat a 40 year old.
I'm pretty sure you still have to qualify at the Olympic Trials (top 3 right?) to make the team. Anyone have any information on this?
If he is in the top 3 at the trails who cares how old he is? Results and fitness matter, not age. You forget this guy is one of the best marathoners of all time
