Sounds pretty average for a message board.
I clicked on one of the "advanced reading" topics and there was no high level reading material it was a post with one big word. If every post said tibial tuberosity or lactate threshold then every post would be at the highest level.
The vast majority of internet message boards are conversational.
Its not going to read like a harvard classic, sorry.

Letsrun is mostly male, upper middle-class white college students.
It also has a disproportionate number of grad students, Asians, and old farts (35-49) compared to the rest of the internet.
