Not long ago Letsrun posted on the home page a video of a WR 800m race from way back (1970s?). I was under the impression they were going to post a bunch more races that users suggested. Did they do this yet? Did I miss it?

I believe the race they showed was the 1974 Common Wealth 1500m Championships. " When no rabbits were needed."
They asked us send them some races we would like to see. I do not know the response to that request.
I found the 1988 Olympic 5k on youtube. That is the race where Kenyan Joh Nguni(SP?) run the second kilo of he race in 2:32. He ran the third lap in 57.8, but of course as he starts to accelerate they break for commercial(what was it about 57.8 laps that made TV go to commercial back then, they did it to Henry Rono at the 78 PEPSI 3k).
Maybe the BROJO'S can find that race without commercial interuption. I still think that 5k was one of the best ever.
At the 1987 World Championships 5k final Nguni(SP?) went from 3rd to 12th in the final lap. The next year he made sure that did not happen.
