Anyone else eat quinoa before your morning long runs?
After. Have a homemade museli made by mixing oats and quinoa flakes as the "base" - then add coconut, flax seeds, flax seed powder, whey protein, raw nuts (brazil, walnut, almond), dried fruit (prunes, rasins, apricot) and a sliced banana. Pour on raw goats milk. Very healthy. Very tasty. Great running fuel.
Isn't the goal to stop eating at least 8 hours before the long run so that your body is used to consuming fat stores? I'm assuming that you're going to run for more than an hour and a half on your long run right?
