Dead legs even though I'm running less than I was before?

I think I will just run twice a day every day with strides on one of those runs until I feel normal, and then attempt a workout. That is, I don't feel dead the first 20-30 minutes of the run. That way I can get up my mileage too.

Time to man up. Stress. Recovery. Recovery. Stress. Recovery. Recovery. Make your workouts count, but make your recovery count. As long as you aren't overdoing it, you only need to be fresh enough to accomplish the workout, benefit from the recovery, and feel good for the race.

I don't know what's wrong with me but my runs are a lot slower and my legs just don't feel good (plus I'm breathing hard at what should be an easy pace). My legs did felt better when I jogged back after giving up on my hills. I think I will run easy now (2nd run), do 2 runs tomorrow and attempt a workout Thursday.

great thread a ways back on how a long run can rejuvenate you. I do that every time I feel flat - a nice 2 hour run, something like 2-2.5 minutes/mile slower than 5k pace.

No idea why it works, but it does work for me, every time.

I did go for a 80-90 min run 2 days ago where I felt okay, not great. I'm taking iron supplements so I don't think that's a problem. Should I go do a long run tomorrow or the day after? I have workouts I am supposed to do but I suppose I should put them on hold for a bit...
