Lukas ran a 404 mile in 2010, and back in 2009 an 853 2 mile and a 1348 3 mile [en route to his 1418 5k). So 2 years after those 2 races he will have a very good shot of running sub 843 and sub 1336.

Merrick ran a 13;37 3 mile indoors and 8;51 on a 12 lap to the mile track

Merrick is the best HS runner no one's ever heard of. 8:43, 4:05, and 13:36y all indoors (I think) is a pretty damn impressive resume. Too bad they didn't switch to the 3 mile Detweiller course until just after he graduated...
