Do you think that Wanjiru, Kipsang, or other runners that actually have alot of talent are going to run in Daegu? Or do you think it'll be similar to 2009 with good runners, but not the Wanjirus or Gebresalassies.

tsegay kebede got 3rd and he is in the wanjiru category, dos santos, goumri ran in 2009,
Wanjiru promised Berlin next year and Geb isn't running at the World Championships. I assume that Wanjiru will want a team of fast runners from Kenya to help him get the record so that may take up at least Makau and Mutai who I assume will want to come back to Berlin. Kiprotich might join them as well.
I assume Martin Lel if he's healthy will want to run the World Championship marathon to get back into championship style racing if he's still thinking about getting into the Olympics again, and Abel Kirui may do the WC to defend his title
Who knows what Merga will do. He might as well sign up for Dubai, Tokyo, Rotterdam, Fukuoka, London, Boston, Daegu (world championships), Berlin, Chicago, and New York just so he can drop out of them all.
Lets all not forget James Kwambai and Duncan Kibet, even though Kibet kind of dropped of the face off the earth and Kwambai has had awful performances lately. They still both are the worlds second and third fastest men ever.
Emmanuel Mutai should definately not be counted out either as he has been on an extreamly unlucky 2nd place streak with a silver at the Berlin Championships, a 2nd place at London, and a 2nd place in New York. He has to win one of these times and he definately has shown talent. Although these guys aren't Wanjiru or Gebrsalassie, they are all really good athletes so to answer your question I still expect the Championships to be very exciting.
Just looked up Kwambai's and Kibet's recent results. Kwambai has faltered really badly since his Rotterdam race with a DNF at nearly all of his recent marathons except Rotterdam where he ran..2:24??? and New York since he finished 5th. I couldn't find any recent results for Kibet. Do you really think they have any chance at the Championships?
Not with the performances both of them have made of late, but you just can't count out those two. If they were to run the championships, they would still no matter what be the fastest athletes in the field unless Geb entered. If you've seen, Kwambai's form has significantly improved lately compared to this years Rotterdam performance even though it's not nearly as good as his run in Rotterdam 2009. Kibet hasn't run any races recently so who knows. I say don't count them out of the ballpark yet if they decide to run.
