I not talking about running against an allstar team but the best high school team from a typical school from Kenya.

they woulda been crapped on....
In all seriousness though, look back at the old NTN results in the open race. Nike would fly in a Kenyan high school team, which would run in the open race and inevitably crush everyone.

If they are the best how are they also typical !?
Not a school designed to work with the best athletes. The best typical school....like FM.

good question. There may be some that are not even in school, raising farm animals, although living conditions in Kenya have improved. some schools may not even have running as a sport and these ultra talented kids don't get noticed till their late teens early 20's
True. I wonder if FM could be the fastest girls HS team in the world.

If you are talking about the NXN open race - go ahead and look back at those results where the Kenyan team would take the top 7 spots. You might notice that their times were WAY slower than in the NXN championship race. Not impressive at all, against a very weak field.
So, your hypothesis might well be true but the evidence that you bring to support it is not convincing.
I don't think any other country has developed high school girls crosscountry as much as the US. So FM probably is the best team in the world.
Italy or one of the former Russian might be competitive. Their school programs are developed.

what do you mean?
NTN 2006 Results:
1 Mosop, Leonida Kenya XC Club 18:34.7
2 Kipsang, Sharon Kenya XC Club 18:38.4
3 Keitany, Hilda Kenya XC Club 18:57.0
4 Tanui, Eulita Kenya XC Club 19:09.3
1 Higginson, Ashley 19:18.4 (NTN race winner)
don't seam way slower to me.
On the boys side Steve Murdock won in 16:26, in the open race, 5th runner for the team was 16:34, and fastest was 15:53.
I am pretty sure that those kids from Kenya were from a collection of schools and not just one secondary school.
That's pretty clear because it lists "club" not a high school.

The best high school team from Kenya would be a boys team, and they would easily crush FM girls.
Unless you mean the best girls high school team from Kenya.

You go look at the results. This has never been the case. Go back to your hole.

Actually i'm not sure if this is a valid point, because all teams that participate at NXN are "club teams". I don't know myself how the Kenyan team was chosen, so it may very well be a collection of schools. Would need confirmation from Nike. In all reality, my original post was joking of course, but I do believe a normal (not well-defined in itself) Kenyan team would be more than a match for FM girls.
Why do the FM girls put that oil/cream on their legs before every race?
This is America's best! I'll run them against any high school in the world.
Based on how you are asking the question, the FM girls would do very well, in fact they could possibly be the best H.S. girls team in the world. H.S. XC and H.S. sports in general is more advanced in the U.S. than in other countries. H.S. LDR is also pretty advanced in Japan, so perhaps there is a better Japanese and perhaps there is a better Kenyan team as well, but not necessarily. Kenya does have high school running teams for girls, but most of them are not as competitive as you would think, if you are a very good H.S. athlete in Kenya, the focus quickly becomes preparing you to make the junior national team becasue H.S. running does not mean very much. There is very little concept of recreation, any type running that does not directly point towards becoming a pro is almost viewed meaningless.
With that said, best Kenyan H.S. aged girls would probably our best H.S. aged girls.
A national high school competition would be interesting.
On another note, maybe Bill Aris should coach our Olympic team.

Lets wait for one of his former athletes make it to national class first. Heck, we're still waiting for one his athletes to actaully make it through three years of college before quiting ther sport entirely. Can we say burnout?
Hard to say since XC is not universal, but if you look at HS-aged (15-18) girls making the IAAF track listings in 2010:

Looks like your best bet for the best H.S. team would come in Ethiopia, followed by Kenya, followed by Japan. Quite a few of the Kenyans and at least one of the Ethiopians are in Japan, though.
