1000x100miles @ 800m race pace
trolling - not particularly helpful.
that said, it is letsrun - should've expected it.
Nothing crazy . . . 4 x 2 miles @ 8k race pace, 2 mins recovery.
hardest wkout ive ever done:
800 at 3k pace, 3mile tempo, 800 at 5k pace, 3mile tempo, 800 all out.
only about 30sec of rest jogging from the road to the track inbtw tempos and 800s.
supposed to mimic a 10k race, getting out hard settling in and closing hard.
"Hardest sessions ever", tend to be counter productive.
350, 300, 250, 200, 150, 100, 50 each at 99% with 3 minutes rest inbetween
24x400 with 1 min rest
The hardest workouts I've ever done didn't really seem that hard when I did them, and weren't after doing the work leading up to them. They were:
8 x mile
30k with 15k easy, 15k at marathon pace
20k at marathon pace
I wasn't in great shape this summer, so I did this workout in September and it was lethal:
250-500-750-1000-1250-1500-1250-1000-750-500-250
That's 9k of intervals at 5k-8k pace, the most I've ever done. The rest was 250m each time.
seems like not what you are looking for, but I think the time I came closest to seeing god was a short workout:
800
400
800
400
It was supposed to be at mile race pace, but I chose to make this four little races with 90 seconds of rest - came close to PRing in the 800 both times. (very soft prs, but still)
My heart felt like it was out of control - was tying up the last 50 meters of each one.
Importantly, it pretty much ended my season - Great workout times, but I never quite recovered and had 3 terrible races afterwards.
But it taught me not to race the flipping workouts.
24X400 with 60 sec rest at 2 mile race pace (Monday), 12X800 with 120 sec rest at 2 mile race pace (Wenesday), 30X200 with minute rest at mile race pace (Friday), and two 45 continuals that were at tempo pace (Tuesday and Saturday). Worst Week of My Life.
20 x 400 @ 64 with 400 jog. I was a 4:30 miler at the time.

Wow
2 X 600 400m recovery @ 1.18 each then 4 X 200 200 jog recover @ 24.
10x400 at 77, 5x400 at 71, 4x400 at 65. All one minute rest inbetween. This was with a 4:20 pr for 1600m.
Marathon @ Marathon Pace. = Hardest session you could ever do.
Infinity X infinity miles @ the speed of light
2 sets of 4 x 200m at 400m pace with the rest as a 1 min jog on the infield. full recovery (8-9 min) in between the two sets. Aside of the first one of each set they felt like an all out sprint every time.
half of it was fine but the end was just killer.didn't end up hitting the pace perfect but here is the short 3 1/2min workout.
4x200, here goes. 200 in 26, 45sec rest, 200 in 26, 30sec rest, 200 in 26(fell of to about 28), 15sec rest, all out 200(which i barely managed about 30flat).
those times shouldn't really be that hard as long as you can break 2 in the 800 though.

Wow
Here you go.
3x4x5x400 @ 62-63 second effort. No watch as usual. 100m jog in between reps. 400m jog in between sets.
