It seems nowadays everyone is on it in some form or another. From social networking sites to phones that let you browse where ever you are. To huge scandals involving wikileaks.
I remember when I first started surfing in the 90's and everyone was anonymous and everything was sketchy and everyone was super protective of their info. Now everyone and their grandma has pics splayed all over facebook. Big transactions are conducted online without fear of being scammed. And during this time kids could get online and act a fool without their parents knowing really what was going on. Things could be mocked and people could be made fun of and it didn't carry over in real life.
Now we have cyberbullying and people traveling 1,000's of miles to murder people over things done on the internet. And the governments of the world are now monitoring everything to stop terrorist plots and cells and what not that are communicating through the net.
So is this the end of the fun freewheeling internet I grew up with letsrun? Are the fun and games over? Is the internet now srs bizness?
