Well?
Well?
David McNeill
Coe
actually, i take that back and would have to say A.J. Acosta because he blew it for his team as well. they would have been second had he not bombed.
biggest bust....I don't know, but biggest loser would be the person who started this thread. Then again, it is easy to sit around and criticize others.
Ya McNeill had a crappy race, but give the guy a break...he had a tough season with commonwealths in october. not to mention the fact that he got pretty sick from being in india and was dealing with some stomach issues for close to a month

It certainly is easy. Nothing I love better than to sit and criticize.
But why may we not criticize others? Has there been a proclamation that forbids it? Criticizing someone for a poor performance -- on the athletic field, at work, in whatever venue -- does not make the criticizer a "loser."
I hate this mentality, so prevalent on LetsRun.
And of course let me preempt the inevitable ad hominem argument: No, I did not run the race, and nor could I have run as fast as McNeil, Acosta or whomever.
It is just the anonymous bashing that is so pathetic. You can certainly sign your name on this thread, even shoot David an email telling him how much he sucked but to just bash someone without signing your name truly is pathetic.
There was a time when I thought distance runners tended to be cool, intelligent people. Unfortunately we have people with no balls getting on here to criticize others by name.
German....three years now and where are all the predicted championships???

1500m champion and still has three tracks left.
Helped his team win two xc championships and usually milers aren't the best 10k xc runners.
All in all I think he has been doing pretty well so far and has a lot to go.
Solomon Haile. 25yr old man can't beat a bunch of 18-20 American youths.

1500 meter champion
two time usa jr xc champion
two ncaa team xc championships
three time big 12 champion.
should I go on?
Chris Derrick
Wasn't he like
top 3 last year?
Pardon me, but what exactly would that do in a situation like this? Personally, I hate armchair coach creeps just as much as you do, but what role does a name play in this kind of situation? Is Dave McNeill going to then say "Well, at least I know who is criticizing me!" or something?
In a situation where someone criticizes Nike or FL or a big corporation, where they could theoretically write a letter to enact some sort of change in the system they so despise, posting one's name might make sense, but you can't reverse the results of the race. It's not like knowing who's behind the screen makes any difference here.
Regarding the question, have to go with Coe or Acosta. Big under-performances here, especially for their senior years.
