I just read many of the "aftermath" articles on the front page and it appears that many of the contending teams had a runner slow way down (or run "tough") because they lost a shoe during the race. Is it just me or were there more shoes lost than normal this time around? After all these years of elite racing you'd think shoes coming untied would be alleviated by now....
